Open to personnel over 18 (SNCO’s).  This is a stand alone course - no other range qualifications required.  Each unit will eventually require a Weapons Instructor to teach and assess the subject in the Corps syllabus.  Qualifies personnel to conduct weapons training and weapon handling tests.

Basic Coaching Course
This is a recomended introductory course for any staff, including Instructor Cadets, who wish to progress to either WI or RCO Training.  It teaches the marksmanship principles, theory of a group, principles of weapon zeroing, and how to successfully maximise individual potential.

SA(SR)07
This is an intensive course, providing the necessary ground work for all future range management courses.  It covers all necessary regulations, safety requirements, and instruction to become a cadet qualified range officer. This course is over 2 weekends, and contains an element of coaching.

RCOs are assessed on their own live firing abilities with the No 8 and L98 Rifle as part of the course.

There are both written and practical exercises to complete.  Personnel must be able to attend both weekends of this course.

L98-A2 Conversion Course
Compulsory course for existing RCO's and WI's to convert onto the new weapon system.

L81-A2 Conversion Course
Completion of the course adds the ability to run ranges with the Cadet Competition Rifle (L81-A2).

SA(LR)07
Completion of the course adds the ability to run Gallery / ETR ranges with either the Cadet General Purpose Rifle (L98-A2) or Cadet Target Rifle (L81-A2). Students must have done the L98-A2 Conversion Course and be current on the weapon.
