TS ROYALIST
Posted by Webmaster / 18 Feb : 00:00
This year I embarked on a fantastic and very memorable course with the ATC, sailing for a week on the TS Royalist between 9th -16th October. The course involved 24 air cadets from all over the UK being taught basic sailing skills but also how to work effectively as a team in order to get the best out of everything we did.
Our team skills were built on continuously throughout the week from simple duties like cleaning to more challenging things like night watch and initiative exercises, which were all done while at sea, and of course sailing because without every member of our 24 strong team our voyage would not have been nearly as successful and we would not have got to travel to the places we saw.

'CHARLIES' ANGELS MEET THE RED ARROWS
Posted by Webmaster / 02 Jun : 10:05
Left to right: Cadet Paula Curtis, Cadet Victoria Taylor and Cadet Natasha Murray. The Red Arrows had an over night stay at Inverness Airport, this was when they were in our area for the Tain Gala in the summer.
Cadets from 161(1st Highland) Sqn visit the Red Arrows Aerobatic Team when on an overnight stay at Inverness Airport. They watched them arrive, listened to their pre flight display brief, and watched them depart and return from their display.
Cadet Victoria Taylor found the experience just amazing with meeting the team and getting so close to the aircraft, just fantastic.
